Lord of the Fries: win a voucher for a Mini Mark Burger
Disclosure: Thanks to Lord of the Fries & Keep Left PR for providing the vouchers, as well as letting me taste test a burger and fries.
A haiku love poem to fries:
Dear Fries. I love you.
Crunchy, salty love. You are
Golden perfection.
(Right, I’ll stick to eating rather than poet-ing.)
So if you’re a Melbournian, I’m sure you know all about Lord of the Fries and their cones of fries, crazy assortment of sauces, and their burgers, hot dogs and onion rings. I go through Flinders St Station every weekday, and I always see the store there pumping out cone after cone of fries. Everyone loves deep fried potatoes!
But have you tried their burgers? Because despite my love poem above, I actually prefer the burgers at LoTF (I’m very partial to the Spicy burger). Perhaps I should’ve written a haiku about burgers. 🙂 Well if you like burgers AND your name is Mark/Marc, then LoTF wants to celebrate you for being you! A Special Mark Sauce to accompany the Mark Burger is being launched on 21 June, and to celebrate, LoTF are trying to get as many Marks/Marcs as possible into the Chapel Street store for a mass burger taste test. They will be checking IDs, so unfortunately us non-Marks aren’t invited. Boo! I think the next sauce they launch should be the Agnes sauce!
But for all non-Marks – never fear. I have 5 vouchers for a Mini Mark Burger to give away – details at the end of this post!
To all the Marks/Marcs reading this post….
If you’re interested in attending the mass Mark taste test, the event will be held:
Date: Tuesday 21 June 2011
Time: 11.30am – 12.00pm
Location: LOTF Chapel St store (170 Chapel Street, Windsor)
Check out the Facebook page for more details on how to register. Registrations close 17 June 2011.

Please call me Mark from now on.
I forget how a haiku is supposed to be structured, so let me do a classic poem.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Paid burgers are tasty,
Free ones too.

Woo, haiku! I think this is right. I love the spicy burgers, and that thai mayo is actually heaven. But I can’t fit my mayo love into the haiku.
Oh, jalapeños
Upon my spicy burger
You stir my tastebuds.

A short poem about burgers:
If we can
How we can
Where we can
When we can
Whenever we can
Until we cannot.

“And a name for that order?”
“Dumbledore. No, wait… Snape! I want to be Snape.”
At Lord of the Fries, they give you your burger… whoever you are.
